Story 7 (704 words)

This story is going to be told through first person. I am going to be the first person narrator because this is a true story. Here we go!

I was just sitting at home playing some Spiderman 2 on my PlayStation 2. I was playing that even though I have an Xbox 360. It was the summer of 2013, so the summer that just ended. It was around the time of the Lancaster carnival. Back to the story. I was just sitting at my house when all of a sudden I get a phone call. It was from thee Austin Hopcia. I was a little puzzled as to why he was calling me, so I answered it. The conversation went a little like this.

“Uh Hello.”

“Hey Jake Woj.”

“Who is this?”

“It’s Zelasko”

“Hey man.”

“You’re going to the carnival. Tell Joe.”

“Alright man..”

Then I went and told my mom what was going on and called Joe. Hopcia picked me up with Zelasko and Cole. Then we went to Joe’s house and picked him up. Then we started our adventure to the Lancaster carnival. On the way there Zelasko put his hand out the window like a gun and pretended to shoot at a car. It just so happened that the car was a cop. Hopcia was really nervous at this point because he thought we were going to get pulled over, but we didn’t. We decided to give a call to our good pal Matt Schaefer. He was at a graduation party for someone he knew in Lancaster. We parked outside and we were yelling his name until he came out. Then he dove in the suv and we went the carnival. We walked around and played some I got it. We decided we had enough of the game, so we decided to walk around and try to find someone we knew. The next thing we knew our good pal Tom Reger came out of nowhere. We all started talking and we walked over to this large group of kids. Then Tom’s little brother came up to Tom and said that someone was making fun of him and he was older than him, so we all followed Tom and he went to talk to the kid. The only problem is he was younger than Tom, so the mean kid called his brother complaining how Tom was being mean to him. It was just a whole lot of words being said. Then the older brother came up to use and started dropping f bombs and freaking out. Then he was saying lets fight at save a lot, but then Tom saw the older brother and realized how big he was, so he didn’t want to fight, but then something crazy happened. This guy that was with him took his shirt off and started yelling who will fight me. Then Tom was pretty annoyed with this kid at this point, so he agreed. If the dumb guy never would have taken his shirt off and started yelling I bet that no one would have fought him. Then Tom knocked the kid out in like three punches. The other kid started it, so everyone was okay. We all bailed at that point. Hopcia, Zelasko, Cole, Joe, and I all drove to drop Joe off at home, and after that we went and played some basketball at Rufus Marx’s house. That was a weird time. We lost the game, so we decided to go to get some Gatorade. The blue kind in the squirting bottle. The only problem is we couldn’t find it anywhere, so we had to go to Tops and just get it in regular bottles. That was a bummer. After that we went to McDonalds to get some food, but instead of them giving us the two burgers we got a quarter pounder burger patty. It was weird. They dropped me off at home shortly after that, and I went to bed to think about how crazy of a night we had. Yes I do still have the video.

The moral of the story is don’t be that guy to take his shirt off and try to fight people. Someone eventually will.

Story 4 (600 words)

There was a band named Chasing Bridges. They finally had their first show. The singer of the band was Justin Marie, the main guitarist was Nate Lowmair, the bassist was Sean Masson, and the drummer was Brendan Farley. The band all met during their freshman year. They all went to Lancaster High School and they didn’t know they could all play different instruments and had all the components of a band. Justin and Nate first started hanging out when they were both assigned to do a project for health class. They had to learn about what the other liked and disliked. At the same time Sean and Brendan were doing the same thing. Nate found out that Justin really liked to sing and play acoustic guitar, and Sean learned that Brendan liked to play the drums. Justin found out that Nate could shred on a guitar, and Brendan learned that Sean could play the bass like no other. During the next health class they all did presentation about each other and learned that they could all play different instruments. In health class their teacher brought up how they could all start a band. That sounded like a good idea to them, so they all got together during health class and they talked about how they practiced and where they learned. Everyone besides Justin went to classes for it. Justin taught himself how to sing and how to play guitar. This is how he escaped from everything that was going on in his life. Justin was the one who thought about making a legit band. They were throwing ideas around. One of the names they thought of was “Fridays With Her.” The entire band didn’t think that that was a good idea for the band.  They threw that name right out and came up with Chasing Bridges. Chasing Bridges was the very first home town band that had a chance of going somewhere fast. They practiced almost every day after school and sometimes during school they would go to the band room and write songs and make chord progressions. This is where it all began for them. The band came together and threw down all the money they could and booked a place on their first gig. It was at a little place, but they had to start somewhere. This was an important show for them because if they did great, it would help future promoters look for them and book them. If they could make a name for themselves then many doors would be opened that no one else would have open. They were watching the other bands perform and they felt like they weren’t as good as the other bands, but then they decided they would play the best show ever. They got their set list together and headed for the stage. They played 5 songs. The first song there was no one by the stage, but once they started playing people started coming. By the time the last song was played everyone was yelling encore. The only problem was the only other song they had was only half written and it wasn’t practiced once. They decided they would give them a little sneak peak, so they played about 20 seconds of the song and everyone was dying for more, so the band realized their little project would turn into something much bigger. They made a Facebook page and a twitter for the band and it was looking very good for them, but that’s when the unthinkable happened. Justin realized his full potential and left the band to try and go for a better band. The only problem is the band wasn’t as committed as his original band. Now Justin Marie works at Tops and doesn’t play or sing anymore.

Story 3 (600 words)

There was once a guy named Jimmy. Jimmy liked to go out and party with his friends. He could never hold a steady job due to the fact that he would go to his jobs intoxicated. He didn’t care about anything other than himself. No one in his family mattered to him. He would neglect them all just to go out and party with his “friends.” The guys he considered his friends were all criminals that recently got out of jail. Each one of them was in jail for a different reason. The first guy Gary was in jail for killing the owner of a store. The second guy Billy was in jail for stealing a car and the last guy Fred was in jail for trying to rob a store. Jimmy didn’t know how he fit in with these guys, but he did. Then this one day Jimmy was with the boys at the bar and Fred told them that he needed to talk to them in private, so they went to the store and bought a 30 pack of beer. Then they went to Jimmy’s house because nobody lived with him. Jimmy knew that it must have been important due to the fact that they never met up anywhere besides the bar. Fred asked Jimmy if anyone would be able to hear him, and Jimmy said no because all his neighbors were out of town. This was good Fred said. Fred told Jimmy to get a chalkboard or a white board. Jimmy came back with a big white board that he found the one night when he was drunk walking around. Fred used this to his advantage and he made a quick little diagram. The diagram was of a big square. Everyone was confused at what it was. Fred put some windows a door and a name on the building. That’s when it clicked in everyone’s head. It was a drawing of the bank. This bank was a high end bank because it was recently robbed. Jimmy and the rest of the crew were a little nervous about this because they all knew Fred got pinched for trying to rob a store. If he couldn’t get away with robbing a store how could he get away with robbing a bank? That’s when Fred pulled out all of the bank records. It had names of people who have money in the bank. They figured out that in the bank there would be more than 100 million dollars. This is one of the most used banks in America. The only problem with this bank is everything is guarded by security. People can’t even go to the bathroom without getting checked by security. This really started to scare the guys. Fred had the idea of sending them all in to get jobs for the bank so they could have key cards to get in. Fred told Jimmy to get a job as a janitor. The janitor job would be perfect for him because he didn’t have to do too much. Fred told Gary and Billy to get jobs as security guards so they could let Jimmy slip by them. This is all they needed. Fred got some hidden cameras so they could get a good view of the inside. After Jimmy placed all the cameras Fred planed how to take everything out. The day finally came. Jimmy called off that day so he could drive Fred to the bank and they could get the money out of there. Jimmy and Fred ran into the bank and they pulled out their guns and put them on Gary and Billy to let them get passed the wall. After they got into the safe they let Gary and Billy grab money. They loaded it all into 20 duffle bags of money. They ran out the door and there were 5 cop cars. They had the choice to either get arrested or try to run. They all started running and the cops gunned them down. The moral of the story. Don’t try to rob bank.
