A new story after years.

Lets consider this a warm up story. Using a random word generator I'll write a short story using the word: "Acid" This should be an easy one.

"Where am I?" Those were the first words he could muster up. No Response. Coughing up blood and struggling to breathe he managed to get up. Looking around the dark room he started to notice that everything was made of metal. MANMADE he thought. He saw a mirror on the wall, so without hesitation went to check and see how bad he looked. "Well Brian this isn't the worse we've looked, huh?" he said to his reflection letting out a chuckle. Suddenly the wall next to him starts to lift up. Startled Brian turned and looked down the now revealed hallway. The smell of sulfur and vinegar entered the room, followed by blinding a light that slowly subsided. Coughing up blood again Brian wiped his eyes and looked down the hallway. To his unfortunate surprise there was a bridge. NOPE, NOT TODAY Brian thought as he gave the bridge a nudge and it started to swing. Underneath the bridge was an ominous green liquid. "That's where this god awful smell is coming from" Brian said to himself. Brian apparently had an epiphany because he walked over to the mirror and pulled it off the wall. Being careful not to cut himself Brian threw the mirror down into the suspicious liquid. LETS SEE WHAT HAPPENS he thought as the mirror started to disappear into the liquid. "Acid" Brian said to himself. Even more cautious than before Brian started to take a step onto the bridge. He put his full weight on his front foot while holding onto the rope railing. THIS IS IT he thought as he took his back foot off the metal floor and onto the bridge. "Well I didn't fall through yet" he said taking his third and fourth step. Starting to build a little more trust in the bridge Brian started walking faster and faster eventually into a run. The instant Brian let go of the ropes to run faster his foot blasted through the step of the bridge. The poorly constructed bridge couldn't handle Brian's full weight crashing down and gave out. Falling, Brian could see the Acid getting closer and the smell of sulfur getting more breathe taking  until there was nothing. Smelling vinegar again Brian opened his eyes shocked to see he was back home surrounded by his friends. "What happened last night?" Brian asked a bystander "From the looks of it friend, you had a bad trip" they said laughing as they left. Brian putting it all together realized, He was "swinging" on his rocking chair and the smell of vinegar was from his french fries. The coughing blood was probably from the Drugs. Fin.

Mr. Jones 2 (DD1 DD2)

Mr. Jones was pretty confused, but also really excited with how the meeting with Mr. Bell went. He headed out to his car, but realized he forgot to talk to Mr. Bell about commission, and pay. Mr. Jones went back inside to talk to Mr. Bell. He knocked on the door and Mr. Bell answered and invited him back inside. Mr. Jones told him how he forgot about payment. Mr. Bell asked what his price was, but Mr. Jones wasn't sure, so he asked Mr. Bell what he thought a fair price was, but Mr. Bell wasn't sure either. Mr. Bell had a quote from the year before from the same firm, so he went in folder and looked at the price. The price on the page was 1500 dollars, but Mr. Bell thought that Mr. Jones deserved a little bit more than that for making it so easy and achieving everything he wanted. Plus money wasn't that big of an issue for Mr. Bell. He decided to give Mr. Jones 2 thousand dollars because he was so excited on how it turned out. This was the best news Mr. Jones has heard all day. He was really excited. He thanked Mr. Bell and headed back to his firm. He walked into his firm with the biggest smile on his face, but that smile was soon wiped off by his boss Mr. Miller. Mr. Jones told Mr. Miller all about what happened when he walked into his office, but unlike Mr. Jones, Mr. Miller was not pleased. Mr. Miller asked if Mr. Bell invested in his firm. Mr. Jones asked what he was talking about. Mr. Miller told him that all clients have to invest a little bit of money into the company. Without the investments Mr. Miller wouldn't be making any money. Mr. Miller asked how much Mr. Jones was paid. Mr. Jones told him two thousand. Mr. Miller was outraged that he asked a client so much, but Mr. Jones told him that he offered and insisted that he takes that price. Mr. Miller didn't believe him because of all the other people that have went to talk to Mr. Bell. Mr. Miller asked Mr. Jones how he managed to ever plan with Mr. Bell. Mr. Jones told him that he let Mr. Bell pick out what he wanted and that he made it work for Mr. Bell. Mr. Miller didn’t believe him at all. This was bad for Mr. Jones because he got fired. Mr. Miller told him that he had to pack his things and get out because he was terminated. Mr. Jones went from having a great day to an awful day. On his way out Mr. Miller told him no matter what happened with Mr. Bell he was going to fire him anyways. This added insult to injury because Mr. Jones went and did the impossible and still got fired. Mr. Jones made it back to his little apartment and slumped up in a ball and didn’t know what he was going to do. The only money he had that wasn’t already spent on bills was the two thousand. He thought that was a pretty good amount of money, but he wasn’t sure how he was going to survive. He stayed the next few days inside and tried to figure out a plan. The only problem is he didn’t have one. The best thing he could think of doing was going out the next day and looking for a temporary job. He was walking around the mall getting applications when Mr. Bell saw him and asked him what he was doing. Mr. Jones explained the whole story to him. This surprised Mr. Bell because he thought Mr. Jones was one of the best at the firm. He felt bad, so he offered Mr. Jones a job. What Mr. Jones didn’t know is that Mr. Bell was the owner of a law firm in town. Mr. Jones very gladly accepted the job.

Mr. Jones. (CC1 CC2)

Mr. Jones was your average everyday guy. He had a simple 9-5 day job. He was an accountant at a small firm. He didn't work too much with clients. He was more or less a stock boy, but then one day he got the call from his boss saying it was time for him to try to help a client invest their money, and help them plan their future. The only thing that Mr. Jones didn't know is that his client was known as the hardest man to crack. Nobody in the firm could ever reason with him or get him to understand what to do with his money. Mr. Jones was more than excited for his first actual client. He packed up his suit case with all the files he needed without looking at them and he headed out. He arrived at the client's house a little early, so he sat in the driveway looking over the files. Once he read the name he got really confused and somewhat upset because he knew it was the man who wouldn't reason with anybody, so he called his boss. As his boss was answering the client pulled in and knocked on his window. Mr. Jones was startled so he hung up the phone and got out of the car and introduced himself. They went through the normal introduction, and the client invited him inside. Mr. Jones had no idea how he was going to tackle this because he has never had a client before, so he was starting to get really nervous. Mr. Jones pulled out the files from the briefcase and read the name again "Jeremy Bell." Mr. Jones asked Mr. Bell what he wanted to do with his money and where he saw himself in the next couple of years. Mr. Bell was quite surprised with the change. All of the other people that have come to see him always told him what to do and told him now. Mr. Bell explained how he makes a good amount of money a year, and what his bills were. Mr. Jones put it all together and figured out how much was left over for Mr. Bell to invest or spend as he would like. Mr. Bell really liked this because it was what he wanted to do and not what someone else wanted him to do. Mr. Bell explained that he wanted a new car, something nicer than his current car. His current car was a 2008 Nissan 350z. He bought the car brand new and paid it all off already. Mr. Bell asked Mr. Jones if he could sell his current car and purchase a new one with a payment plan if that would work for him. Mr. Jones asked what Mr. Bell wanted. He said he wanted a 2014 Subaru Wrx Sti. The price of this car was kind of high, but Mr. Bell really wanted it. Mr. Jones started looking through his past bills and everything to see if he ever missed a payment on anything and if he had good credit. The files said that he has never missed anything once. All his bills were paid on time and that he never had missed a payment for anything. This made things so much easier for Mr. Jones because he could tell Mr. Bell he could get away with doing that. It wasn’t the best idea, but if that’s what he wanted to do, he could get away with it without changing his current lifestyle. This was music to Mr. Bell’s ears. Mr. Bell shook Mr. Jones’s hand and thanked him.

The Dog. (BB1 BB2)

There was once a man who never knew what he wanted to do. He would always try to go out and do something, but he could never fully commit to it. He would try everything at least once, but that didn't help him in every circumstance. He could never give something his full effort. He had many jobs, but he would get fired because he didn't try hard enough according to his various employers. This was the most stressful thing for him. He wanted to be a good worker and he wanted to help people, but he just couldn't pull himself to do it. He talked to many different doctors trying to figure out if he had some sort of disorder. They all told him that he was just lazy, but that wasn't good enough for him because he always tried to and it wouldn't work. He would do everything he could pull himself to do, but once he started to try he would slowly lose motivation and give up. If something wouldn't work for him on the first try he would just give up. This pattern was slowly breaking him down. He wasn't sure how much longer he could go through with this feeling. He needed some way to either get him over the feeling he gets or something or someone to cheer him up. Since no doctors could help him out he decided he'd be better off finding some way to cheer himself up, so he went to the store and bought some dog food and a few dog food dishes to hold the food. He figured that if he got a dog that would make him happy because dogs always make people happy. The next day he went to the dog pound and looked at the dogs. He wanted an older dog that's already been trained, but then he saw this German Shepard puppy that was about 8 months old. This was the cutest thing he has ever seen. He instantly fell in love. The puppy ran right up to him and jumped into his lap. This was the moment he knew that he wanted the puppy. He talked to the owner and asked how much the puppy would cost. The owner saw that the man looked pretty sad, so the owner said he could just take the puppy, and the pound would pay for the medical bills. This was the best news he has heard in a while. Not only did he get a best friend, but everything was paid for and all that he had to do was train the puppy. He had no idea what to name her. The best name he could think of for the puppy was Cynthia because not many people would think of naming a dog Cynthia. He trained Cynthia the best that he could. This was very difficult for him because he didn't know anything about raising a dog. The struggle of raising the puppy helped make the man slowly but surely got over his problem about commitment and giving up. So his thought about buying the dog to cheer him up turned out to do more than just that. It put him in a good mood, gave him a best friend, and got him over his problems of giving up and losing jobs. He got a steady job at the dog pound actually and he decided that since the owner provided the dog for free if someone really wanted a puppy, but couldn't pay for it he would pay for the puppy to try and help that person. The moral of the story is never give up and buy a dog.

Train (AA1 AA2)

There was a college student who was on a train. He was on his way to his new college. He transferred out of his original school which was the university at Buffalo. He was on his way to Georgia to go for technology. He was originally going to go to be a doctor, but he realized that he liked to work with computers so much more than being a doctor. He called up Georgia tech and transferred from UB. This was the best thing he has ever done. On the way to his new campus he spent the time on his laptop. Then he noticed a little crumpled up piece of paper in the corner of his room he was sitting in. The piece of paper sparked his interest, so he walked over and picked it up. He had the crumpled up piece of paper in his hand and he wasn't sure if he wanted to read it or not. He felt like he was invading someone's personal space, but then he actually decided he wanted to read it. He slowly started to undo the paper, and he started to get really excited because he wasn't sure what he was going to find on the inside. Then he read it. He was really surprised by what he found. It was a note that said "You're supposed to get captured on this train and taken hostage, but I'm going to help make sure this doesn't happen. You need to go out of the door and take a right and walk all the way to the last cabin. Once you get there you will see a red door bell. Ring it three times and you'll be safe. Don't stop to talk to anyone or anything. See you soon." The college student was oddly amused by this. He was more interested than nervous. He thought about what he should do, but then he made his final decision to go and ring the doorbell. He didn't want to get captured, so he started out the door. He made his way down the hall and he saw this extremely beautiful girl. The girl looked at him and mouthed the words to him. "The note." He immediately realized this was the person who wrote the note, so he continued down the hall when he noticed a guy up ahead directly in the middle of the second last cabin. This is when he actually started to get nervous because he felt like he was in a lot of trouble. The man was staring right at him, so he was getting really nervous. That's when the good looking girl came up behind him and turned him around and pushed him into the closet room. She told him that she would take care of the man. The man started walking up to the room and he walked into the room. He tried to grab the guy, but the girl jumped off the couch and pushed him into the other room. She then looked at the guy and said "go." He ran and rang the bell twice. Then he found that the room the bell was outside of started to detach from the train, so he dove into it, and was saved from the attackers on the train. The man was super confused when all this happened. Once the room stopped moving the door opened and the women came in and started talking to him. He asked where he was, but the girl was very silent. All he could hear was “Sir. Sir. Sir. Wake up.” The man opened his eyes and looked around. It was all a dream and he looked out the window and he was in Georgia.

Z1-2 The Boxer

"Pain can be the only thing to let you know you're still alive..." This is why I began my career as a boxer. My English teacher once told me that quote. She told the class this quote during my senior year of high school. Back then I had no idea what I wanted to do with my future, but when she said the quote it all clicked. I wanted to become a boxer. I started going to boxing classes and I excelled in the class. I was the fastest learning student there was. I think I went to the classes twice a week for about two months. It's slowly getting harder to remember from being hit in the head so often. After I learned everything they could teach me I signed up for my first fight. I know my story is sounding very impressive, but my first fight was far from impressive. I got knocked out in the first round of the fight. After my first fight which turned out to be a loss I felt very unmotivated and upset. I had no motivation to train or sign up for another fight. This feeling didn't last long because I wanted to win. I put so much time and effort into training. Giving up now would be pointless because of the amount of time I put into boxing. I never wanted to give up, so I brushed my shoulders off and started training again, but this time I trained so much harder than I trained before. I was putting 200 percent into everything that involved boxing. I had a slow start to my boxing career because I started training my senior year. Most boxers have been training their whole lives to be boxers, but not me. I had to wait so long to get my start. I started to regret it right away, but I realized there was nothing I could do about it, so I just kept on training. I rarely went out and hung out with my friends around this time. That’s about the only thing I regret now. If I could have found the perfect balance between the two I would have loved to. I lost all my friends while I went out and trained all the time. This was probably the biggest mistake I’ve ever made in my life. I’m sitting here on my back porch all alone because I lost all of my friends. The man who said “Money can’t buy happiness” was telling the truth. I have a whole lot of money, but no one to enjoy it with. Enough about my sad life let’s get back to my boxing career. Well after my first loss I decided to get things together and start winning. Starting off with a loss is not how I planned to take my boxing career, but I promised myself something that has stayed true throughout all the year I boxed. My first loss will be my only loss. The rest of my career was pretty good. I would sign up for a fight and win. I began to be the talk of the boxing world. I never had an opponent who could beat me. I even won a couple of championships. The best part about my wins was the prize money I would get. I’m not saying it was a lot at first, but it was enough to have fun with. Later in my career is when I started getting a lot of money. I could afford a brand new car with cash. Let’s just say that was a really nice feeling. I guess to sum up my career I could say it was perfect. I got only one loss which was my first fight and it was the motivation to become the best at boxing, so I went out and did it.
