Mr. Jones was pretty confused, but also really excited with how the meeting
with Mr. Bell went. He headed out to his car, but realized he forgot to talk to
Mr. Bell about commission, and pay. Mr. Jones went back inside to talk to Mr.
Bell. He knocked on the door and Mr. Bell answered and invited him back inside.
Mr. Jones told him how he forgot about payment. Mr. Bell asked what his price
was, but Mr. Jones wasn't sure, so he asked Mr. Bell what he thought a fair
price was, but Mr. Bell wasn't sure either. Mr. Bell had a quote from the year
before from the same firm, so he went in folder and looked at the price. The
price on the page was 1500 dollars, but Mr. Bell thought that Mr. Jones
deserved a little bit more than that for making it so easy and achieving
everything he wanted. Plus money wasn't that big of an issue for Mr. Bell. He
decided to give Mr. Jones 2 thousand dollars because he was so excited on how
it turned out. This was the best news Mr. Jones has heard all day. He was
really excited. He thanked Mr. Bell and headed back to his firm. He walked into
his firm with the biggest smile on his face, but that smile was soon wiped off
by his boss Mr. Miller. Mr. Jones told Mr. Miller all about what happened when
he walked into his office, but unlike Mr. Jones, Mr. Miller was not pleased.
Mr. Miller asked if Mr. Bell invested in his firm. Mr. Jones asked what he was
talking about. Mr. Miller told him that all clients have to invest a little bit
of money into the company. Without the investments Mr. Miller wouldn't be
making any money. Mr. Miller asked how much Mr. Jones was paid. Mr. Jones told
him two thousand. Mr. Miller was outraged that he asked a client so much, but
Mr. Jones told him that he offered and insisted that he takes that price. Mr.
Miller didn't believe him because of all the other people that have went to
talk to Mr. Bell. Mr. Miller asked Mr. Jones how he managed to ever plan with
Mr. Bell. Mr. Jones told him that he let Mr. Bell pick out what he wanted and
that he made it work for Mr. Bell. Mr. Miller didn’t believe him at all. This
was bad for Mr. Jones because he got fired. Mr. Miller told him that he had to
pack his things and get out because he was terminated. Mr. Jones went from
having a great day to an awful day. On his way out Mr. Miller told him no
matter what happened with Mr. Bell he was going to fire him anyways. This added
insult to injury because Mr. Jones went and did the impossible and still got
fired. Mr. Jones made it back to his little apartment and slumped up in a ball
and didn’t know what he was going to do. The only money he had that wasn’t
already spent on bills was the two thousand. He thought that was a pretty good
amount of money, but he wasn’t sure how he was going to survive. He stayed the
next few days inside and tried to figure out a plan. The only problem is he
didn’t have one. The best thing he could think of doing was going out the next
day and looking for a temporary job. He was walking around the mall getting
applications when Mr. Bell saw him and asked him what he was doing. Mr. Jones
explained the whole story to him. This surprised Mr. Bell because he thought Mr.
Jones was one of the best at the firm. He felt bad, so he offered Mr. Jones a
job. What Mr. Jones didn’t know is that Mr. Bell was the owner of a law firm in
town. Mr. Jones very gladly accepted the job.
