Story 2 (600)

There once was a man named Bert Roberts. He enjoyed walking through the city with his dog named Larry. Larry was a 4 year old Golden Retriever. Bert got Larry when he was at the age of 18. Bert is now 22. Bert and Larry are like no other combination of dog and owner. Bert treats Larry like he is more than a dog. He treats Larry like his son. The two of them would go out to football games, and they would also try and get girls together. Larry would go for female dogs, but it seemed that Bert had better lucky using Larry as a wing man, and when Larry would use Bert as a wing man it wouldn't really work. The dynamic duo would try their hardest to be happy and have a good time just living life. Bert had to work every day other than weekends. Bert worked at a tattoo parlor. The only thing is that Bert never got a tattoo in his life, but he was really good at giving tattoos. He was voted the best tattoo artist in East LA. He never said no to anything a client wanted, and the tattoos always turned out great. The only time he would ever say no is if the client was under the age of 18. He never broke the law once in his life. He was a straight edge guy with a dog. He never had any luck meeting girls, but he always tried. Then one day Bert decided to get a tattoo and everything changed. He started drinking and everything. He never cared about anything at all. Then one day after Bert got home from the store with his 30 pack of beer Bert thought he was missing something, but he couldn’t figure it out. This feeling went on for about 2 months. Then he finally realized what it was. Larry left him. Bert didn’t think that would ever happen, but Larry didn’t like who Bert turned into so Larry left to find a new owner. The only problem is a dog on the streets alone in the city doesn’t work to well. Larry ended up at the dog pound. Larry didn’t have his collar on, so no one knew who he belonged to. Bert went to the dog pound one day to hope and find Larry. Bert found Larry at the pound and that’s when everything changed back to how it was. Larry decided that drinking and partying wasn’t worth it because he lost his best friend Larry. Bert never had another drop of alcohol again. He decided to quit his job as being a tattoo artist and start his new career as a dog sitter. He began to watch dogs. He realized that dogs were his favorite thing in the world. He had to lose his best friend to make this discovery. When Bert got Larry back he realized what life really was. He had to find a place where he could take care of all the dogs that people wanted to him to watch. He had to watch 4 dogs not including Larry. All the dogs were about the same. They needed to be walked once an hour and get feed and played with. Bert had to go out and purchase 10 chew toys because the dogs went through 1 a week. This started to become hard for Bert to pay for everything. He had to raise his prices this made him feel really bad because he didn’t want to charge more, but his clients were all millionaires so they didn’t really have a problem with paying a little more. This made Bert really happy. Bert and Larry lived happily ever after.
